Ongoing
Multiclient Program
Since
1994, Techno Alliance Corporation (TAC) has been offering
a continuous multiclient program entitled "Advances
in Materials Research in Japan." The program publishes
from 3 to 8 reports per year on very specific topics such
as nano
materials, materials for flat panel displays, heat resistant
polymers, and electroconductive polymers. The program is
now
in Phase X.
The objective of this program is to give the sponsors early
notice of what new materials and technologies will be developed
in a couple of years, in five years or over the horizon, by
analyzing Japanses patents in depth and conducting intensive
interviews with industry, university, and government laboratory
researchers. The program also provides sponsors with early
notice of Japanese developments that may represent either
new competition or business opportunities. The reports do
not simply review the current status of what is going on in
Japanese R&D but also emphasize analysis and draw conclusions
driven by the author's expertise and are subject to questions
and comments from clients.
The program also offers publicly announced materials related
R&D news by e-mail frequently. Samples of this e-mail
news service are available upon request.
